K-Pop

In 2013 I had just graduated from high school.  Netflix just really started streaming as opposed to sending DVDs in the mail.  I convinced my mom that it was a good idea for me rather than buying every DVD I was interested in.  About the first week of classes of my first semester, I found a show on Netflix called Boys Over Flowers.

I found out it was based on one of my favorite Manga (one of like five) series that my local library had a few volumes of.  So I checked it out, and found the theme song was just *Chef's Kiss* amazing.  Looking up who sang it, I found out the k-pop group SHINee sang the main theme, and thus the rabbit hole began.

Around 2015 I began to try to make a data collection out of the songs, because the question has always nagged me - is the song actually bad in terms of line distribution or are people over blowing it.  How can we solve this using the actual data.  Again, my journey of turning music into data began.  After several different variations of finding out how to make songs into a point system, I came up with my own.

Is it perfect? - No. Does it work for me - Yes.

You can read about my Point system HERE

I hope you enjoy what I have found and the different groups that came about from here.

Sending with Love,
Otta
