Born Yu Ji-min on April 11, 2000 in the year of the Dragon. An Aries, she is of Korean nationality. She entered the company by receiving a direct message from a member of SM on Instagram. She was initially asked to audition based on her looks, but passed the test to get into the company. Karina is considered the leader, main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, visual, face of the group, and the center.
