Born Kim Hyo-yeon on September 22, 1989 in the year of the Snake. A Virgo, she is of Korean nationality. She earned her place at SM at the age of 11 when she did an impromptu dance when her mother brought her to the office, in hopes to see H.O.T., in the 2000 audition show.
