Born Kim Jennie on January 16, 1996 in the year of the pig. A Capricorn, she is of Korean nationality. She auditioned for the company in 2014 in Seoul, after growing up in New Zealand, passing the audition. Although BLACKPINK does not have any official positions, Jennie is considered to be the group's main rapper and lead vocalist.
