by BLACKPINK was released at the same time as Boombayah as a dual, lead single, debut on August 8, 2016. It’s the first track on the single album of Square One written, composed, and arranged by Teddy, and Bekuh Boom. Future Bounce also participated in the composition and arrangement.

Whistle features members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose at the average age of 19.8 years old.
