Latata - (G)I-dle
Latata sung by (G)I-dle was released on May 2, 2018 as their debut single from the album I Am as the first track. Written by member Soyeon and with composition and arrangement by Big Sancho and member Soyeon.
Latata features members Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, Soojin, Soyeon, and Shuhua at the average age of 19.8 years old.
Latata has around 285 words with 60.7% (173 words) in Korean versus 39.3% (112 words) in English. The song has all words divided up into individual sections with none of the words sung by all members. Latata has an average of 52.2 years old with a standard deviation of 21.2 words and a margin of error of 8.6 words. Member Soyeon has the highest number of words and member Yuqi has the least.
Latata has a track time of 3:22 minutes with a total singing time of 2:23 minutes. Around 0:09 seconds (6.3%) are sung by all members while 2:14 minutes (93.7%) are sung in individual sections. The reason that the word count has no members singing while the time count as 0:09 seconds of all members singing is because in the time count video I used, the “I Love Ya” parts were not given a specific member while in the word count it did. I personally do not know I-dle enough to tell you which member was singing the “I love ya’ parts so I kept it as All members as indicated. Moving on the average between the members is around 22.7 seconds with a standard deviation of 8.3 seconds and a margin of error of 3.4 seconds. Member Soyeon has the highest amount of time while member Shuhua has the lowest amount of time.
(G)i-dle earned 3 music show awards with Latata but was not nominated or earned any awards during the cycle for the song. The song did end up on 5 different end of year lists placing first on the Idology end of year kpop music list. (G)I-dle’s Latata charted on 6 different charts with peaking at number 3 on the gaon social chart and in the top 15 three other charts including peaking at number 4 on the US World digital.
