Born Kim Da-hyun on June 18, 2007 in the year of the Pig. A Gemini, she is of Korean Canadian nationality. She was casted while attending the Doctor Music Academy in Busan, South Korea. They held in house auditions where she chose SM out of the 32 agencies that had wanted to cast her. She is considered the group's lead vocalist, although the group doesn’t consider themselves to have fixed positions.
